About Wandelsport Vlaanderen
Wandelsport Vlaanderen is a sports federation that promotes, facilitates and develops the sport of walking in Flanders. As a recognised sports federation, Wandelsport Vlaanderen vzw unites 325 Flemish walking clubs and over 62,000 affiliated members. Our walking clubs guarantee some 1,400 walking organisations every year, accounting for 1,500,000 participations. Wandelsport Vlaanderen arose from the merger of Aktivia, Vrije Vlaamse Recreatiesporten and Vlaamse Wandelfederatie. These each had their own administration tool and had to be centralised. Not a standard job and thus tailor-made for Tailr.
Tailr suited up
Tailr further helped Wandelsport Vlaanderen migrate several databases to end up in one central application. Important descriptions were user-friendliness, applicative and easy to manage. Read more and find out how we did it.
One handy club portal
Besides centralising all data and information, Wandelsport Vlaanderen wanted to launch a club portal. In this portal, the organisation as well as members would manage subscriptions, race results could be consulted, and it would be possible to generate and export all kinds of data and reports of hikes.
Custom extras
Tailr developed some features that speed up and simplify processes for employees. For instance, we made sure that, with the right access, data can be exchanged with external websites, large exports and statistics are queued and you can order merchandise.
